This Sunday is the wrap up of our Disciple Now (DNOW) weekend. We have over 400 students preparing to be led through the Word by Chad Poe and led in music by Matt Papa.
As we prepare for this weekend, there are a number of songs that will be less familiar, but each song is rich in content and serves, as we do each week, to present the gospel of Christ through song.
As we begin, we are reminded of the greatness of our God. We sing of His greatness in creation and in salvation.
This song is new to us, but is reminder of both the cost of our sin and the great reward we have through Christ's payment for that sin.
As we hear this song, we will be reminded of Him who is our anchor in good times and in bad. Our lives are not tossed around with the waves of circumstance. Instead, we cling to Him that remains sure through it all.
This familiar modern hymn is a Hunter Street favorite, as we sing the gospel in preparation to hear the Word preached.
We respond to the preaching of the gospel in awe of the grace of God to us. What a mystery that He would love sinners like us, and make His enemies family.
As we go, we do so being reminded that God's mercy is greater than our sin. This good news should propel us out as we scatter. We go out with the hope that Jesus is better than all this world offers and He is the hope for us all.
