Adults

As a church family, we are committed to biblical worship. Part of our membership covenant focuses on worship.

“…the hour is coming, and is now here,
when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth,
for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.”
– John 4:23

We will worship the Triune God in spirit and in truth.

  • We will develop and cultivate a lifestyle of private worship.

  • We will lead our families to worship in our homes.

  • We will regularly gather together with the Hunter Street church family for corporate worship.

Below you will find some opportunities for adults to serve in our corporate worship ministries.

Hunter Street Choir

The Hunter Street Choir is the primary worship-leading vocal group in our music ministry. This choir leads in weekly worship gatherings most Sundays of the year — and also leads in special services several times each year. It is from this group that soloists, praise teams, and other ensembles are formed.

  • Open to anyone college age and up with a desire to sing

  • Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm (Music Suite)

Register for choir by contacting the music office.

Hunter Street Orchestra

The Hunter Street Orchestra & Band is the primary worship-leading instrumental group in our church. These musicians meet weekly and lead in all weekend and other church-wide worship gatherings. The orchestra is comprised of stringed and wind (brass and woodwind) instruments. The band is comprised of rhythm instruments (guitars, drums, auxiliary percussion, and keyboards).

  • Must demonstrate a high school level proficiency on their instrument

  • Audition and interview required to join

For more information, contact Gay Palmer, Orchestra Director.

Senior Adult Choir

Known as “The Joyful Singers,” the Senior Adult Choir is one of Hunter Street’s most active ministry groups. The choir sings all across the region and performs two home concerts each year, at Christmas and in late spring. The choir also makes an annual spring ministry tour.

  • Participation is open to all adults 55 and up

  • No experience or audition is required

For more information, contact Barry Daniel, Joyful Singers Director.
